Ingredients
Argentino Sauce
2 Tbsp Olive Oil
⅛ Cup Chopped Shallot
¼ Cup Kewpie Mayo
¼ Cup Sour Cream
2 Tbsp White Vinegar
2 Tsp Dijon Mustard
2 Tsp Steak Argentino
1 Jalapeño, Roughly Chopped (Seeded for Less Heat)
1 cup Chopped Fresh Cilantro
1 Cup Chopped Fresh Parsley
Juice and Zest from ½ of a Lime
Steak Marinade
1 ½ lb Flat Iron Steak
½ Cup Olive Oil
Juice of ½ Lime
Juice of ½ Lemon
Juice of ½ Orange
2 Tbsp Steak Argentino
½ Cup Chopped Fresh Cilantro
Directions
Argentino Sauce
- In a food processor or blender, combine all of the ingredients. Blend the mixture until it becomes smooth and creamy. You may need to scrape down the sides of the bowl a few times to ensure everything is well incorporated.
- Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning if needed.
- Transfer the sauce to a container and refrigerate until ready to use.
Steak Marinade
- In a bowl, combine the olive oil, lime juice, lemon juice, orange juice, Steak Argentino seasoning, and chopped cilantro.
- Place the flat iron steak in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steak, making sure it is well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and discard the marinade. Grill the steak for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until it reaches your desired doneness.
- Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 5-10 minutes. Slice the steak against the grain into thin strips.
- Warm 12 tortillas on the grill or in a skillet until soft and pliable. Place a few slices of the grilled steak on each tortilla. Drizzle with the Green Argentino Sauce. Add additional toppings like diced onions, avocado slices, or crumbled queso fresco. Serve the tacos immediately, garnished with extra cilantro or lime wedges if desired.
